Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has launched a new free transport service, the Visit Abu Dhabi Shuttle Bus, which has been developed to connect local and international tourists with top hotels of Abu Dhabi and attractions.
Covering 18 stops, the shuttle service will deploy two key routes, covering nine hotels, nine leisure hot spots and two Expo 2020 bus stops in Abu Dhabi. The first phase of the deployment will see roads connecting Yas Island, Jubail Island, Saadiyat Island, downtown Abu Dhabi and the Grand Canal.
Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director of Tourism and Marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi, said: âWe have top attractions and entertainment here in Abu Dhabi, and although they are on tourists’ lists on what to do. ‘we have to do in the city, we want them to be as accessible as possible. The service will increase the number of visitors to attractions and support these entities in their operational activities.
Providing hassle-free transportation, Abu Dhabi’s shuttle fleet includes 11 buses in total, each featuring vibrant cityscapes depicting major Abu Dhabi attractions and activities. Must-see vehicles are equipped with comfortable seats, air conditioning, wheelchair access and Wi-Fi access.
Residents and tourists can request free shuttle access once they have booked their hotel stay or purchased entrance tickets to all Abu Dhabi attractions using the Visit online booking platform. Once the reservation is made, they will receive a voucher with a QR code that will allow them to access the online shuttle platform, register their contact details, consult the nearest shuttle station and follow the buses.
